Internal tremors
Internal tremors are sensations of shaking or vibrating inside the body that are not visible externally. Some women report this during perimenopause, possibly related to nervous system changes.
How to track
- Log when sensations occur with timestamp and duration.
- Note body location (chest, abdomen, limbs, full body).
- Record intensity level and any triggers.
- Track correlation with anxiety, caffeine, or sleep quality.
Common context
Internal tremors can be unsettling but often occur alongside other autonomic symptoms. Tracking helps distinguish patterns from isolated events.
What to bring to a clinician
- When and how often do internal tremors occur?
- What other symptoms or contexts appear alongside them?
- Do they affect sleep or cause significant anxiety?
